M.A.T. uses medication such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, Zubsolv, and buprenorphine/naloxone to help ease or eliminate symptoms of withdrawals and cravings for opioids. Although therapeutic treatment is crucial during recovery, Medically Assisted Treatment is proven to be one of the most successful tools for those leading a road to recovery.
Suboxone and Zubsolve are buprenorphine hydrochloride. Suboxone and Zubsolv are considered brand name forms of Buprenorphine/Naloxone.
Naloxone is a narcotic antagonist and it blocks the effect of opioid use.
Classified as a mixed opioid agonist-antagonists. Stops opioid effects such as withdrawals.

Forming higher tolerance to higher dosages of pain medication. Mood swings between active drug use. Relationship and interpersonal problems may be caused due to effects of using opioids. The need to seek opioids despite health, behavior, or relationship problems caused while using or seeking opioids. The duration for treatment is typically shared between the patient and physician through the Individualized Treatment Plan.
